AYOBOWAN!
haha that means hello in i dunno some language they use in sri lanka and IM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
oh man that feels so gd to be sitting infront of the computer after two wks! plus i've got lots of stories to share so this maybe a very long post so get ready. i'll try to remember everything k!
Day 1- 02.12.06
left home at 1.30 for the airport and reached colombo the capital of sri lanka at 5.30 their time which is 7.30 ours at nite since they are two hours behind us but we only reached the hotel at like 8.30 cause it takes so damn long to reach the hotel! so tired had dinner late but the airplane ride was fun. managed to get the window seat frm hanan! in the plane watched step up and listened to the radio and played games. slept at almost 12.30 am there which is 2.30 spore.
Day 2- 03.12.06
woke up early and u noe i was like the alarm clock for my sisters lah we slept in the same room. oh and we nailah was frightened so we slept wif the lights on. so had breakfast and went visiting all my relatives u noe all the stuff.
Day 3- 04.12.06
again visited relatives and talk and talk but it was quite fun lah to see old pics and all so ya.
Day 4- 05.12.06
the tour starts. we left early morning for hikaduwa thats like sentosa but a better one. the resorts are so huge and the beaches are just the best but we couldn't get to do anything much cause we reached our resort pretty late cause why i'll tell u why. istead of the usual straight away got to our resort my father brought us to 4 resorts to look at them and he would pretend to be interested. oh and one more thing we all had to pretenf to be locals wen checking in to hotels cause prices are diff and the difference is huge! its so mean lah the way the prices are. locals pay so little while foreigners omg a huge sum! so ya we had dinner while we listened to a live band and all and went to bed.
Day 5- 06.12.02
woke early and din bathe first. we walked around the resort and the beach and took pics. then had breakfast and proceeded to the boat where we got on and went to the sea. its a fibre glass boat so we could see all the coral reefs and fishes. really beautiful. plus the waves just huge! nailah was like clinging on to the boat lah! so funny. but then ah something stupid was going through my mind. i really thought that we were going to get kidnapped cause the two guys who brought us kept whispering and one of them really was starring at me the whole time. then they kept going round and round this huge rock. i was really damn scared then kept praying and praying. and thankfully it was just my imagination. so wen we got back to the shore nailah came to me then ask me wat i thought of the "kidnapper". so wen i told her wat i felt she also said that was wat she was thinking. so practically that guy bacame the kidnapper and nailah liked him. it was funny lah but wat to do! so we played in the sea and i got my trousers wet. luckily i din use jeans but it was white so its pretty much in a mess. oh and i collected seashells which are like intact and really pretty. actually the crabs were still in them and bit my hand and i screamed and let go of everything but i still have some. so anyway i climbed trees( yep not something nasuha does) and almost got bit by red ants! then we proceeded to nuwara eliya its like the version of cameron highlands only colder and much more beautiful. unfortunately the driver we had was a goondu one and did not noe his way around so we had to go through the forest at nite! omg it was just plain freaky! i was afraid the tamil tigers were gonna just spring out of the trees and shoot us lah! oh pontianak or something. so we spent the nite at this guest house when we reached ratnapura town.
Day 6- 07.12.06
we left the guest house early and got directions to go to nuwara eliya and reached there in the afternoon. along the way we saw waterfalls and just mainly tea plantations but no tea pluckers. why? i'll tell u why cause all the tea pluckers in the island are on strike! and we got to see the whole thing and being the "nosy reporter"(my dad) he took out his video cam and filmed the whole thing. even interviewed the police and those on strike so they also really thought he was a reporter and got more aggressive so my dad hurried and went back to the van. damn hilarious lah! he aslo interviewed students who were on strike and stuff like that. after all that we reached the hotel which is the same hotel i stayed five yrs ago the last time i was here. and its my fav hotel. there is this garden surrounding the place which my sis and i rolled down wen we were young. i old ready mah so i dint. oh and how colud i forget my dad fired the driver and got a new one.
Day 7- 08.12.06
on this day i really dint want to wake up cause the fireplace in our room was so nice and all but too bad! got up and went to the tea plantations, farms( which i stayed away most of the time) and retreated back to the hotel.
Day 8- 09.12.06
we went to the botanical gardens which had my fav section the roses. also i revived old memories by taking pics wif the pink roses which i did 5 yrs ago. and we went to the lakes and some mountains. then we went to this huge waterfall where u can actually bathe but of course i dint though i was tempted. the water is so cold and all! then we left for colombo again. reached at nite and did a little of shopping.
Day 9- 10.12.06
we left for another place which was more of temples and ancient ruins. not really wat i liked but oh well...
Day 10- 11.12.06
we climbed the sigiriya rock which is huge. of course we didn't actually climbed it but more of took the stairs but tiring eh! oh and i gained 3 kg ok frm all the eating so ya expect a fatter nasuha and im cutting my hair tmr. i've decided to be brave and cut short hair. lets hope i dun chicken out like before! so anyway back to the trip. went back to colombo and slept all the way till 10 in the morning. damn tired!
Day 11- 12.12.06
we had lunch at my aunts place where i recieved this gold pendent frm her. supposed to be wen i get married lah but she gave me earlier lime some sign. ppl there get married at the age of 16 so u noe where im getting to. and i got something to tell u all. i had received a proposal. seriously im not joking!!!!!!!!!! it appears i had been sort of attached to this guy since i was born. now he is studying to be a banker but of course lah my mum say no! crazy arh! like sgt maisha. remember she say she had two proposals! haha... then we had dinner and stuff.
Day 12- 13.12.06
again went shopping and really shopped like crazy! its so cheap!
Day 13- 14.12.06
left for spore early in the morning...
and now im back! ok lah i gotta go now
later...
